Protecting our kids is our number one priority. Here’s what you can expect:
Every camp volunteer has to go through a Volunteer Registration which requires a National Background Check as well as supplying references before being approved.
Each camp attendee is required to have a lice check before allowed on campus.
ISM ensures licensed nursing staff for each camp week with
the authority to make final treatment decisions for campers. If hospitalization is deemed necessary, parents will be contacted, and transportation arranged. If a child must be sent home due to medical reasons, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian and church to retrieve the child promptly, regardless of the time. Discharged children not cleared for camp return are the parent/guardian’s responsibility, and the church should plan for their pickup. Refunds are issued for injury or illness preventing the camper’s return to camp.
-
For students requiring medication, you will register them online, and upon arrival, your Camp Coordinator or designated leader will submit the medications to the Camp Nurse. Include a filled Medication Registration Sheet (prepared in advance) in a sealed Ziploc bag. Medications should be in original containers, containing only the necessary doses for the week.
Note: We have Over the Counter medications stocked, so sending additional OTC meds is unnecessary.
